ARTIST NOTES: This painting was inspired by the magical outback sunsets, that are almost impossibly to replicate in photography or to paint, because they are so fleeting & so intense. I was awe-struck by the beauty of the outback skies, and I did my best to capture this. I was watching alongside other fellow campers in Winton, outback Queensland night after night.
