I am a lifelong creative working predominantly in oils and mixed media textiles. My love for art stems from a creative family and a passion for colour and storytelling. I was fortunate to be raised in both the countryside and by the ocean. I proudly acknowledge my family history which includes Aboriginal ancestors alongside European immigrants.
Early in life I was fascinated by fantasy art. I now take a Realism approach to my works, while retaining the everyday magic found in the natural world. I am drawn to Australia’s diverse landscape and contrasting colour schemes. Being passionate about the environment, I am conscious of the materials used in my processes and opt for recycled and sustainable materials.
I completed Certificates II and IV in Art and Design in 2007 and a Trade Certificate in Graphic Pre-press Design in 2012. I received the Outstanding Achievement Award for Graduates of 2007 and was shortlisted as Apprentice/Trainee of the Year in 2010. I am currently living on Peramangk country Mount Barker, SA, assisting with art workshops and the organisation of an annual hills arts event.
I am working towards being a career artist/author, renowned for colourful Australian themes and educational children’s picture books.
